It was a clean sweep for ¹ú²úÂ鶹¾«Æ· students at the Briefs Film Festival!

¹ú²úÂ鶹¾«Æ· Media Studies showcased their amazing talent and sense of humour at the annual Briefs Student Film Festival at the State Cinema on Tuesday night.

A total of 35 films were shown across the night from students at ¹ú²úÂ鶹¾«Æ·, Nelson College, and Nelson College for Girls. ¹ú²úÂ鶹¾«Æ· submitted fourteen short films and six music videos from our Year 11, 12 and 13 classes. Year thirteen students Max Acland and Isabella Fuller did a fantastic (and entertaining) job of MCing the night.

From a satire of a 50s sit com, to a story of a skateboarder gone wrong, to an originally written musical – ¹ú²úÂ鶹¾«Æ· students wowed audiences with their filming and editing skills as well as their original narratives.

At the end of the night, ¹ú²úÂ鶹¾«Æ· films won every single award in the drama section, including the coveted ultimate ‘Best Drama Film’ award which was won by Kier Etherington for his fantastic short film ‘Little’.

The students should be very proud of their efforts.  A list of the award recipients is below:
