Jesse Jury – Seido Karate
Congratulations to Jesse Jury (Year 9) who competed in three Blackbelt categories in the Junior Seido Karate tournament a couple weeks ago (Kata, Weapons Kata and Kumite (sparring)) Jesse placed first in all three categories!
We are all proud of you Jesse! Not an easy feat, not just with the physical aspect but performing with the pressure of large crowds too.
NNC Finals- Senior A, 10B team + Umpire Vanessa Bell (Year 11)
Congratulations to our Senior A Netball team who won the Nelson Netball Senior 1 Final last weekend 37-32 over Jacks Black (which also featured 2 NayCol staff). Our 10B team also made the Collegiate 2 final.
We also want to give a shout out Year 11 student Vanessa Bell who was appointed as umpire for one of the final games – what an awesome achievement for the 16 year old who has been umpiring since Year 7 and won Nelson Netball Youth Umpire of the Year in 2022!
